Shatta Wale 'beats' Ofori Amponsah- Guess How?

Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale has demonstrated his knowledge of the Bible and strong spiritual Christian branding.
The artiste recited his favourite Bible verses in an interview on Starr FM’s Starr Drive on Thursday when host, Bola Ray asked him to.
“My favourite Bible verse is Psalm 32:8. It says, ‘I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you’,” Shatta recited.

The dancehall artiste recited other verses as well.
It would be recalled that highlife artiste turned Pastor, Ofori Amponsah, choked on a question about his favourite Bible verse in an interview on Starr FM.
After struggling to recite a single verse in the Bible, Ofori Amponsah said, “Whoever calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved."
When asked where in the Bible that verse could be located, Amponsah replied: “I can’t give you the exact place it can be found.”
Ofori Amponsah who had wowed Ghanaians with his love songs declared in 2012 that he had received a ‘divine call’ to become a pastor. He noted he had parted ways with secular music and would be singing about the love of Christ in order to win souls.
Contrary to his statements, Ofori Amponsah is back to highlife claiming that the secular music space will provide him with a bigger opportunity to spread the gospel. He has subsequently released a song titled ALEWA which features Sarkodie.

Shatta Wale Flashes Back On the Money He Paid His Former Manager

Charles Nii Armah Mensah known in the entertainment circle as Shatta Wale in his radio conference a few days ago recounted the amounts of money he paid Bulldog during their run as artists and manager.
Talking on Pluzz FM Shatta recounted moments when the two were arguing about money and the questions he asked his manager included;
“All the artist you have worked with has any of them paid you one hundred and fifty million Cedis before?, He said No, I asked again, has anybody given you eighty  million Cedis before, he said no, has anybody given you fifty million in cash before? He said no, Bulldog so why do you treat me like that.” Bulldog did not start this thing with me but the money I give him I have never given any of my crew. I called Bulldog to come work with me. I told him ‘Bulldog, come let’s make money.’
"We go and meet people and they give me money and I’m like ‘Bulldog, it’s ten thousand, take seven thousand and let me take three thousand. We get money and I say take this and I take this, we get shows and you say you want to run it and say okay run it."
The two has since moved on as Shatta is hoping to win a MOBO Award tonight and Bulldog is now promoting BullHaus' Rudebwoy Ranking.

X.O Senavoe Goes Hard On New Single 'Ghost'

From the opening words of GHOST, you know this is an X.O Senavoe you've never heard before.

“Drowning all my sorrows in this vodka, having a ball, wondering when you’ll grow one/I been hearing that you f****rs wanna show out, oh boy, click click on my shot gun”.

If you think that was an incredible start, you should wait ’til the end. "Ghost" is everything you wanted X.O to be – fearless, bravado-spilling, multi-bar-lacing, and all with an effortless delivery, as he lays claim to being one of the greatest African rappers … ever.

Among many things, GHOST is X.O’s indictment of the idea that Africans need to rap in a particular way, or language or tongue, to be considered among the “greatest”.

His ability to do so seamlessly is matched by the irony he points out in his lyrics, “Sorry, I forgot, I’m from Africa right, so I got to spit something we relate to, like how, if I rap in English, even if, I’m the greatest ever – they no go rate you”.

Produced by Gafacci, GHOST is placed on a hard-hitting symphony of bass, 808s, synths, and high-hats which provide the perfect canvass for X.O’s re-emergence. The hook, which is in Twi and translates to “one who’s ghost refuses to agree that you’re dead” is simply eery, and befits the song title.

But the ante is upped when X.O, who represented Nigeria in the BET cypher, flexes his linguistic muscle rapping in Fante, and both Asante and Akuapem Twi for the first time ever. And throughout it all, “El Presidente” is pulling no punches with this one. No more Mister Nice Guy.

After “Oluwadele” ft Efya, and Coptic’s “Real Niggaz” along with Sarkodie last year, Mr. Senavoe went ghost on us, reportedly to dabble in other interests like Law. But if this is, as he says, just the start to a cascade of new music coming our way, then the absence was well worth the wait.

“I got a Barretta for all Barrettis to my Empire, Loaded Luxes for these Calicoes/All first verse, but you ‘gon get this work’ in a landslide, when I pull up like your pantyhose”. Smack!

Police goes for Shatta Wale’s audio tape

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service have gone for a copy of the audio recording that had dancehall artist, Shatta Wale accusing his manager, Bulldog of murdering an unnamed personality in the entertainment industry.

The Police is studying the content of the audio recording and will soon re-open Fennec Okyere’s murder case.

Since Shatta Wale’s outburst, lots of fingers are pointing to the late Fennec Okyere as the certain guy that Bulldog killed.

ASP Joseph Benefoh Darkwa, the Public Relations Officer of the Police CID told Kasapafmonline.com in an earlier interview that they are yet to mount investigations into the allegations.

“What I can say is that, we will go for the tape and listen to what ever was said in there carefully before we take any action and so until then nothing can be said. But as soon as we start something, we will duly let the citizenry of Ghana know.”

As to what the disturbed public should do in times like this, DSP assured them that the police was in control and urged them to keep their cool and keep their fingers crossed.

'Don't Mind Shatta - Bulldog, It's All For Publicity'

Movie producer Socrate Sarfo has added his voice to the ongoing feud between outspoken dancehall artiste Shatta Wale and his manager Bulldog.

In a post on his Facebook page, the movie producer entreated the public to see the saga as one of their mind games and urged them to treat it as such.

His post read; "Don’t mind them it’s a gimmick… masters of the game".

Bulldog and Shatta Wale are known as one artiste and manager that always have their way around so far as generating controversies that get the media talking using mind games is concerned.

While others believe that truly the one time close and inseparable pals have broken up, others are of the school of thought that believe, it is one of their game to get people talking and that the truth will be out in a matter of time.
