Despite his popularity and having been the front runner of the Azonto revolution with his 'Lapaz toyota' hit song, Guru is yet to win a major award in the Ghanaian music industry.
At the just ended 4syte music video awards,though he was nominated in 4 major categories, he again failed to win any of his nominations.
Many people who witnessed the 4syte music video awards anticipated his 'Pooley swag' music video to at least win an award looking at the popularity and the work which went into it.
The question is, has Guru wronged any one in the music industry? Or it’s just a deliberate attempt to depredate the talent of a hard working young Ghanaian musician?
Though Guru has several times revealed that he is not doing music because of awards,it doesn’t warrant the fact that he should be denied being awarded for working assiduously.
MUSIGA president, Bice Osei – Kuffour aka Obour and the big gangs in the music industry must tackle Guru’s predicament with much sternness.
