Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie has sparked more speculations that he has joined the illuminati, following his performance at the iconic Apollo Theatre in New York on Saturday, August 8.
The rapper who had to go to the extent of recording a single, ‘Illuminati’, to deny the claims, performed at his Sarkodie History In The Making concert in New York, giving people more reasons to suspect his affiliation to the ‘secret society group’.
Sarkodie performed several songs on stage with a slide projecting the illuminati emblem at the backdrop. So is Sarkodie really a member of the group or is he just using the controversy to sell his brand?
The Illuminati is a name given to several groups, both real and fictitious. Historically, the name usually refers to the Bavarian Illuminati, an Enlightenment-era secret society founded on May 1, 1776.
The society’s goals were to oppose superstition, obscurantism, religious influence over public life and abuses of state power.
Central to some of the most widely known and elaborate conspiracy theories, the Illuminati have been depicted as lurking in the shadows and pulling the strings and levers of power in dozens of novels, movies, television shows, comics, video games and music videos.
